RECAN Kenya is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Talent Shade Films (T-SHAfilms) and Kakwood to collaborate on a transformative storytelling project.

This partnership aims to amplify the voices, experiences, and achievements of refugees and displaced communities through the power of storytelling, film, and digital media. By combining the expertise of T-SHAfilms and Kakwood in creative production with RECAN Kenya's extensive community networks, the initiative seeks to create authentic narratives that inspire, educate, and foster greater understanding among diverse audiences.

The project will provide a platform for refugee storytellers, artists, and changemakers to share their journeys, highlight community resilience, and showcase the positive contributions of refugees to society. Through documentaries, short films, digital content, and community engagement activities, the partnership will help challenge stereotypes while promoting inclusion, dignity, and social cohesion.

This collaboration reflects RECAN Kenya's continued commitment to innovative approaches that elevate refugee voices and ensure that refugees are not only represented in stories but are active participants in telling them.
